As you may know, the U.S. Department of Education announced that FAFSA Submission Summary forms for high school and college students will not be processed until sometime in March.

Despite the frigid temps, fog, and rain, SVI persevered for three jam packed days this week! Luckily, I was able to visit several classrooms!

The Sangamon Valley FFA Chapter is selling strawberries! Orders must be placed and paid for by February 14.

As of Tuesday 1/9, HS Chess practices are underway. If you are interested in participating, there is still time to get started, even if you have no chess experience.

Our annual Nothing Bundt Cake sale is in full effect! Orders and payment are due to the school on Jan. 24. Cakes will be delivered just in time for Valentine’s Day on Friday, Feb. 9!

SVP is very excited to have our students back with us after winter break! We have gotten off to a great start learning in Quarter 3.

This morning we worked on social emotional learning, trying out new strategies for dealing with stressful situations or emotional moments. This afternoon we had fun with team-building activities!

It feels great to be back in the building with our students! I was so thankful to see almost all of our student return, ready with smiles and excitement!

On the last day before Christmas break, we always hold Reindeer Games. The teachers continue to be undefeated, but congratulations to the 7th grade team for beating both 6th and 8th grade!

Thank you to all our parents that added to our winter fun! Treats, dress up days, kind notes, and showing up with a smile made our last 2 weeks of 2023 pretty awesome!
