SVHS Drama Presents “Spelling Bee” Musical
Join our talented cast for the outrageous musical comedy “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” on March 24 and 25.
SV Primary Book Fair
Join us in person April 11-14 and online April 10-23. All proceeds benefit our school in the form of new books for the library!
Week 27 at SVI
Third grade rocked out persuasive writing with a friendly class vs. class competition, all grade levels are working through cause and effect, multi step math problems are a focus too!
Prism Concert Video
Enjoy our high school and middle school musicians in their 2023 Prism Concert, “Songs of the Sea!” The concert was canceled but students created a video to share the results of all their hard work this quarter.
Rube Goldberg Showcase
SVI 5th graders, along with their teachers and engineer (Mr. West) took 2nd place in the Rube Goldberg Showcase last weekend! Their hard work created a wonderful learning opportunity and great honors!

Week 24 at SVI
This week was fast and furious! We were able to crush our goals for this week: Wax museum, valentine parties, R.E.A.L. assembly, fundraiser delivery, reading, math, science, social studies, and writing.

We will end the month of February with our annual Dr. Seuss Read Across America Celebration, which includes dress up days and daily activities for the students.
Week 22 at SVI
We sleuthed our way through the week to celebrate a mystery birthday, started our wax museum study prep, finished a chapter book in 5th grade, and so much more. I couldn’t be more proud of the work these kids put in each day!
Congratulations Boys Basketball!
Congratulations to our SVMS Boys Basketball team on winning their first round regional game! Round 2 is Tuesday at Mt. Pulaski. Go Storm!
School Closure January 25
Due to the current weather conditions, all Sangamon Valley Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. All activities are cancelled.
Week 21 at SVI
We celebrated 2 third graders that mastered their DIVISION facts in extra math! I enjoyed watching 2 reading lessons in 4th grade as students seek to find text evidence and author’s purpose.
