Illinois Science Assessment

On Wednesday, April 19, 2023, Sangamon Valley High School will administer the Illinois Science Assessment to the Junior class starting at approximately 8:10 am.  The test will consist of 3 sections, each of which will take about 40 minutes with a five-minute break in between each.  Any student who does not complete the test on April 19 will have to make it up before the end of the year. Students should bring their Chromebooks fully charged and also bring their charging cables.

Students with the last name A-F will report to Mr. Hansbrough’s room and students with last names H-Z will report to the cafeteria first thing in the morning.

Students will not be allowed to have their phones during testing. Phones can be turned in to the supervising teacher, or left at home. Students are encouraged to bring a non-science-related book to read when finished with test sections. Students may also bring water bottles and snacks to eat between sessions.

Students will be released after the tests are completed to go home. Students who attend Heartland Technical Academy or Richland Community College in the afternoon will still be required to do so. If your student usually rides a bus, then bus service will be provided at the usual dismissal time.

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Field at jfield@sangamonvalley.org

Juniors need to bring a charged Chromebook and charging cable for testing.
