Decatur Memorial Hospital Sports Medicine will offer sports physicals to junior high and high school students on Thursday, July 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the DMH Classrooms; Tuesday, July 23, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Meridian High School, 728 S. Wall Street, Macon; Thursday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Eisenhower High School, 1200 S. 16th Street, Decatur; and Monday, Aug. 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at MacArthur High School, 1499 W. Grand Ave., Decatur. Students from all schools are welcome at any of these locations.
No appointment is necessary. Cost is $25 per child, cash or check only. Students entering 9th grade are required to have a school physical. Those school physicals will be accepted in place of a sports physical.
DMH Sports Medicine has partnered with the Stone Thrown Forward Foundation to provide on-site EKG’s for student athletes. A short survey and physical exam will determine if the student requires an EKG Screening. This program is covered by the Stone Thrown Forward Foundation and results will be sent to the student’s primary care physician.
