The SVHS WYSE team participated in the regional academic challenge at RCC on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. The WYSE (Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering) competition includes tests in biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering graphics, English, mathematics and physics. The test material is from high school senior and college freshman curricula. Each team member must take two tests from the above list. The goal of the academic challenge is for students to see the competition that they will experience at the college level. Our team did a great job representing our district. Isaac Fleck placed 2nd in physics at the regional. He competed at EIU in the sectional.
